Meet ‘Jet’ the newest member of the Marine Team born December 3, 2009 at the Multi-Award winning Pet Porpoise PoolCoffs Harbour’s Pet Porpoise Pool is celebrating a new arrival of a new baby dolphin!
The proud mother Calamity gave birth to her calf at 1.35am in the morning in full moon under an hour’s labour.
Calamity’s other daughter, Bella who was also born at the Pet Porpoise Pool back in 2005 is now a big sister to the Calf and is enjoying time with her new sibling, swimming around together with mother and calf.
Ms Paige Sinclair said, “The public will get a chance to view the Dolphins at the Park and it will be a wonderful experience for our locals and visitors to the Coast over the Holidays”

No flood damage again!!

We have got thru yet another Coffs Harbour flood unscathed. The creek that runs thru the park looked fairly spectacular this morning. It looked more like a small river than a creek but did stay contained within its banks and caused no damage. All of our sites have drained nicely and are in good shape. The sun is now shining and I just had a guest pop in to ask for suncream!! Who would have thought…….

The Pacific Highway is open, so people are able to travel freely in and out of Coffs Harbour.

Emerald Beach Hosts International Wave Ski Competition

There is a really fun and funky vibe here this week. The international wave ski championships are being held from the beach right outside the park. Many of the competitors from all over the world are staying here and enjoying, not only the competition, but the laid back atmosphere, the beautiful surroundings and of course, the roos!

For the love of ducks!

Our guest’s hearts have been won over by a pair of very proud ducks who are parading around the park with their wee babies. Although very watchful of their offspring, they are also very confident and have been meandering around people’s tents and vans and even popped up on a cabin balcony and knocked at the door!!! Very cute.

We have a brand new, stylish and welcoming new office. Not only will it mean that there is more room and computers to facilitate a quicker check in for you, but there is now extra parking to make office access easier. For those of you who are not in a rush, there is now also a lovely seating area where you can relax, sit, and chat amongst the new landscaped garden.
The office now feels fresh and is in keeping with the relaxed but stylish atmosphere that our guests already love about our park. We still stock ice creams and sweets and lots of information on local tourist attractions, activities and surrounding BIG4 parks and as always, our staff would love to chat with you about local walks and other information.

Caravanners have come and gone!!

We have just farewelled our last “caravanner”! The south east caravan club (QLD) and Central Coast Caravan Clubs had a fantastic get together at our park over the last 10 days. We thoroughly enjoyed having them here and they had such a fantastic time that they have already booked to come back!! We look forward to seeing them again next year.

The whale season has started and there is nowhere better for land based viewing than The Emerald Beach “look At Me Know Headland” or the Woolgoolga headland (5 minutes drive from here). They are both spectacular spots for a picnic and fantastic vantage points to look out for migrating whales. For those who would like to get closer, Spirit Cruises run a whale watching cruise most days that allows you to get up close and personal with our world’s largest creatures.
